Services

Our Prince Albert dental office provides a full range of dental services for both adults and children. When visiting our dental office in Prince Albert, patient comfort, dental health, and quality of dentistry provided are our primary concerns.

Some of the dental services we offer are listed below. However, using the links associated with each dental service will allow you to obtain more information about each dental service from the Canadian Dental Association.

Examinations

Dental examinations are performed to determine the overall health of your teeth and mouth. This procedure allows the dentist to explore various treatment options available to the patient. More

Hygiene/Periodontal

Having your teeth cleaned regularly is an important step in maintaining a healthy mouth for life. Our office has registered dental hygienists who are trained to clean your teeth. Gum disease and gingivitis are common problems in adulthood. More

Teeth Whitening

In most people, the natural color of teeth ranges from light grey to yellow. Teeth darken naturally with age and bleaching is an option to potentially lighten the color of teeth. There are many types of bleaching and materials used in dentistry today. More

Fillings

A filling is a common procedure used to fill a tooth which has a cavity. We use both composite (tooth-colored) and amalgam (silver) fillings, depending on the patient’s preference. There are advantages and disadvantages with both types of filling. More

Root Canal Treatment

When the nerve of a tooth becomes infected a successful root canal allows the tooth to be treated rather than pulling it out. Saving a natural tooth avoids having to replace it with an artificial tooth. More

Extractions and Oral Surgery

As dental professionals we hope to treat a natural tooth, but there are times when extracting a tooth is the best or only option. On occasion, other surgical procedures are required to benefit the patient. More

Dental Implant

If you have one or more teeth missing, there are a number of ways to replace them. An alternative to bridges or dentures may be dental implants. More

Crowns

If your tooth is damaged, a crown can be used to restore its shape, appearance, and function. You may need a crown if you have a root canal, a large filling, or a broken tooth. There are various types of crowns available. More

Bridges and Dentures

The best teeth are your own natural teeth, but sometimes a tooth is badly damaged or lost. If a tooth is lost it can often be replaced with a bridge (cemented permanently into your mouth) or a denture (removable appliance). There are many different types of bridges and dentures. More

Bonding and Veneers

Dental treatments such as bonding and veneers are not only used to fix broken teeth, but can also be used to improve the look of healthy teeth. Cosmetic dental treatments can improve your smile and personal self-esteem. More

Temporomandibular Disorder

The joints and muscles of the jaw which let us chew, swallow, speak and yawn are known as the temporomandibular joints and muscles.  When there is a problem with the movement of joints and muscles a temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) may be present. More

Orthodontics

People of all ages can benefit from orthodontic treatment which involves straightening of the teeth with braces over a period of time. We discuss and evaluate the need for braces with our patients. If orthodontic treatment is required a referral is made to an orthodontist who specializes in the area. More

Sedation

With the use of local anaesthetic to “numb” or “freeze” areas in the mouth, there is most often not a need for additional sedation. Some patients, however, do benefit or request sedation for various reasons. Depending on the patients’ health and level of sedation required there are several types of sedation available. We offer nitrous oxide and limited oral sedation options in our dental clinic. If deeper sedation is required arrangements are made to see an appropriate specialist.
